[expand title=”What are the entry requirements?”]The credit calculation is based on the assumption that learners have previous assessment experience when starting to learn towards this unit standard, and in particular, recognition for the unit standard: 115753: “Conduct outcomes-based assessments”. It is also highly recommended that candidates should achieve 115755: “Design and develop outcomes-based assessments” before attempting this unit standard:
It is further assumed that the person has evaluative expertise within the field in which they are moderating assessments.
It is essential that candidate moderators have access to the summative assessments of real learners. These will be moderated by you as part of your own summative assessment.
Candidate moderators also need a good command of English (reading and writing) so that they can analyse and interpret the relevant outcomes and unit standards (all of which are written in English).
You should also be computer-literate, with access to WIFI and a PC.

- Curriculum descriptionModerators typically conduct the internal or external moderation of outcomes-based assessments. The internal moderator reviews the assessment process and outcomes prior to referring the results to the certification partner, while external moderators are typically appointed by a SETA or other accrediting body to ensure that all providers apply the same standards and follow the same academic rigours. Moderators also moderate assessment tools prior to implementation.1
